  1. I wish I could give you bette feedback on this one. I've only used MDR to remove spotting from sprinklers. After looking up Speed Gloss it appears to be more of an all in one type of quick detailer. MDR is specific water spot remover and is acidic. So you're going to remove most waxes and sealants if you use it.
  2. I don't have an answer to that question. I'm 99% sure the disc and towel are the same product. However the eraser i'm not sure of. I guessing the thinking behind the different products would be cost and who is going to use them. A shop like ours would use the disc and towel on a daily basis and cost more then the block. The block being for the DYI persons working on just their personal vehicle. Costing less
  3. Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant is a new, revolutionary product that not only cleans textile surfaces, but protects them at the same time! Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant is a concentrate that you dilute 3 parts water to 1 part concentrate for most applications, or use at full strength for tough stains. Use it to clean greasy dirt and grime from fabric seats or carpets and mats. Spray directly onto surface and agitate. Wipe off excess with a microfiber cloth. For more intense cleaning use a steam or extractor machine. While cleaning, Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant leaves a polymetric protectant behind that repels dust and dirt. Most cleaners contain surfactants that leave oily residue that attracts dirt and grime causing dirt build up. Optimum Carpet & Fabric Cleaner & Protectant contains substantive polymers that trap and remove dirt and grime while bonding to the surface to protect it.
  4. Yes sir. If you're using on a DA speed should be set to 1 or the slowest speed.
  5. Optimum Gloss-Coat™ is the most advanced polymer system that forms a layer of clear coat over automotive finishes. Optimum Gloss-Coat™ provides better scratch and mar resistance, better UV resistance, better chemical etch resistance, and has better release properties than any other consumer product while providing unsurpassed gloss and slickness. Additionally, you can top Optimum Gloss-Coat™ with any non-abrasive wax or sealant of your choice to add additional gloss and slickenss. Optimum Gloss-Coat™ can be used to protect the following surfaces: • painted surfaces • wheels • plastic trim • bumpers • aluminum & chrome surfaces Since Optimum Gloss-Coat™ bonds to surfaces it is applied to, any paint imperfections must be removed with Optimum Polish II or Optimum Hyper Polish before application. Also all waxes and oils must be removed from the surfaces for proper bonding. Directions: 1. Polish paint with Optimum Polish II or Optimum Hyper Polish to remove any defects. 2. Clean surface with 15% IPA solution to remove all polishing oils, waxes, and silicones. 3. Prime the applicator by making an X pattern across the pad. Only a few drops will be needed for each subsequent panel. 4. Wipe Optimum Gloss-Coat™ onto a single panel at a time in a thin layer using two directions, in a circular or front to back direction. 5. Within 5 minutes, inspect the panel with adequate lighting looking for any thick areas that have not flashed away to clear. 6. Use foam applicator or paint safe microfiber to even out any areas where you see streaks. This step is key, as any spots not leveled will have to be polished if allowed to cure. Panels will feel a bit tacky and will be self-leveling during cure time, so avoid any unnecessary touching, wiping, or contact to produce the best results. 7. Repeat steps 1-6 for each panel where application is desired. Not recommended for glass.
  6. Don't know what it could be. It's working on my end.
  7. It sure does. More like bleeds. We use it in the shop and if a car is really bad it turns the floor purple. Mainly wheels. We don't have the problems most big city have with pollution. When it's sprayed on the paint you will see it after a couple minuets. It's a very slick feeling product. Like soap. I've been playing around with the Opti-Clay bar and FerreX to see if it damages the clay when used together. I've found no problems yet with the combination.
  8. The ZENTOOL ZEN-21E Dual Action Polisher represents one of the latest advancements in machine polishing technology. With an orbit (throw) of 21mm, the dual action polisher has evolved to become a leader in efficient cutting power while still maintaining the safe operation expected from a DA polisher. The ZENTOOL ZEN-21E is powered by a 900W motor, and even with the massive 21mm orbit still operates smoother than traditional dual action polishers. The backing plate features ventilated cooling channels to help reduce heat transfer. Due to the large orbit diameter, buffing pad weight plays a major role in maintaining a smooth operating machine. Ideal pad weight for the ZENTOOL-21E is up to 27g. We also recommend operating at speed 4 or lower for automotive polishing to preserve the life of your buffing pads. Power: 900W Orbit: 21mm Weight: 2.4kg Backing Plate: 150mm Warranty: 1 year against manufacturing defects.

  14. GARFY, I usually prim the pad with a couple of squirts. Then apply. It will have a slight film that will evaporate in a few seconds. I apply two coats around 30 minuets apart. This will ensure full coverage.
  15. A lot of the line will be tweked in the near future. I will see if david can get you some of these products.
  16. I haven't done this but You should not have any problems. I have found that products with lots of oils or silacone will create a little streaking in areas as well as enhance the oily finish a little. To correct this problem just let the sealant set up for 20 to 30 minuets and burnish the paint with a MF and spray wax or your choice of QD
  17. We have been priming the pad with one or two pumps when we start. Then you can spray staright to the finish. If it is a windy day you may want to spray pad if you cant find an enclosed area. Weather conditions will change the evap times I have found the first panel to be dry by the time I finish. If you want to add a second coat clean your windowa or wheels and tires and come back. About 10 to 15 min. A little trick I have found is to burnish the finish after the car is complete. about 20 minits after final application is done. What I do is use an ultra plush MF towel Spray one time with the Optimum spray wax and lightley buff the paint in a rapid manor. Like the shoe shine guys do. Just gives the finish a little extra gloss.
  18. We have found the 2 foam applicators that will be supplied to be the best. I have had many uses from the same one. I usualy rinse it out with dish soap and water. You Must let it dry fully before you use it again. The cotton ones sold by the competition don't apply the product evenly from what we have found.
  19. I have not had any at all. Other then going over some polish that didn't get wiped off.
  20. You can apply it over anything except dirt! Make sure that all polish and product haze is removed first. If your car is still leaking water from the cracks it is best that you blow them out. The product will streak a little when it is mixed with water. As for the release. Optimum is waiting for the labels to be delivered to the plant. All raw materials are in as well as the 8oz bottles. We are at the dawn of a new era in the car care world. This product is just a small step for things to come. Optimum will continue to push the envelope providing it's users products that will give you more shine in less time.
  21. My wife's black Expedition has two coats of the Opti-Seal. Last week after two different rain storms that she had to drive through she told me that her car looked cleaner than it should. Yesterday We picked up her car from her moms house. She lives in the country on a dirt road. Saturday it rained all day with an Ice storm that came through that night. I would have thought the car looked like crap. After seeing it yesterday it didn't look that bad at all. It is dirty but nothing like it usually is after this type of weather. I will post some pictures this weekend when I wash it.
  22. Both methods in theory should give the same results. If it were me I would apply the Carnauba first. Doing this will help the foam applicator pad glide across the paint much easier.
  23. Welcome Bob who. Are you talking about the SF Bay? You can apply O-S to wheels, hard trim and glass. If you find other uses for it that is a +
  24. This thread is setup to keep all questions and answers in one area concerning the new Opti-Seal. Members are invited to post questions found on other forums here. Dose Opti-seal lock in my Carnauba? No. The solvents will dissolves carnauba floating it to the top of the Opti-Seal. This fact holds true with any solvent based WOWA sealant. The carnauba is not removed just repositioned. Can I layer Opti-Seal? Yes you can. For best results you should do this with 12 to 24 hour intervals. If you do it after an hour it will be the same as if you applied a heavy coat of the product. How many times do I have to pump the sprayer to = 1oz. of product? Close to 200 pumps It should only take 20 pumps to coat a two door sedan.
