It seams that the forum is experiencing a flood of porn spam.

We are sorry for this and are trying to delete it as soon as it is posted.

For now if you are a new member wanting to register you will have to wait for an approval from a mod prior to being able to make post.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'd like to add to Ron's comments. Thanks to the members who pointed out the problem. I hope we were able to move fast enough. I know I got a couple while they were trying to register. Feel free to pm me directly, as well as hitting the report button. I'm usually at a computer, whereas Ron and Anthony have to be out around their clients cars. I'll jump on the report as soon as I see it.

Thanks again to all of you. Without spammers, this is BY FAR the classiest and most friendly board on the web! :thumbsupup[1]::cheese1[1]:

My thanks to Ehall and those who reported the spammers.

Thanks,

Anthony

Check the email addresses.

Most spammers use a crazy email address as most normal members use Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, Ymail...etc.

We had a problem with spammers on our Focus site and I started watching for that.

IP banning won't work either since they use proxies usually. You'll just have to delete the username....and sooner or later it'll slow down.

It happens to most sites at one time or another.

While it is not a good thing, it's just part of the internet and we have to cope with it.

You people are coping with it just fine. :confused1[1]:

The mod approval requirement will definitely weed out a lot of troublemakers and shouldn't be all that much of an inconvenience for anyone that is serious about participating in the forum.

The reporting of objectionable posts by forum members is probably the best weapon you have to keep the stuff away.

Some of the weirdos and spammers are quite patient and persistent. There's no way the mods can see every improper content posts as soon as they are posted. If everyone just clicks on the "report post" button, it can be a big help.
