XxAkaraxX
Hi, I would like to ask which optimum car care products suitable to clean bird droppings from a car?
Setec Astronomy
You could use several different products, I would probably use Opti-Clean (waterless wash), or you could use some Optimum No-Rinse or No-Rinse Wash & Wax, diluted properly and used either in a spray bottle or bucket (or you could mix them up stronger to a "quick detailer" concentration for the spray bottle), or you could use the Optimum Instant Detailer (OID), which is the quick detailer. A&J
I usually use ONR w&s in a spray bottle set to stream. I shoot as much off the car as possible and follow with a ONR wash or Opti-clean wipedown on that spot.
XxAkaraxX
I was thinking of keeping an OID in the car to wipe down any bird droppings. It seems like OID is not fit for this purpose. Can I spray OOC initially instead of ONR W&S before wiping down with OOC? Or is ONR W&S significantly stronger than OOC? I would like to keep a towel and a bottle of a product to wipe down any bird droppings or similar sticky dirts which I would not want to have until my next wash. However, I am not sure which Optimum product.
A&J
One or the other is fine. ONR is just cheaper but OOC is better lubricated as it is meant to be a waterless wash. Just be sure to remove as much of the bird poo as posible in the spraying step before you wipe away with your towel.
XxAkaraxX
Thank you Chris. I have ordered 3.8ltr size of opti clean. I can use it for a quick wipe down dust on my car between washes. By the way when is it the best time to apply OID? after fully drying my car or when the car is still wet?
Lowejackson
One option is to spray some ONR or Opticlean onto a cloth and then the paint, put the cloth onto the area and carry on cleaning elsewhere. After a few minutes the mess should easily come off
