I was thinking of using OS on the inside of the glass. Is there an advantage/disadvantage to doing this? I was thinking it would make the interior glass smoother and easier to clean.

I would image that a glass cleaner would remove it rather quickly, but that is only my thoughts...anyone else care to chime in?

I personally wouldn't advise it as it may cause condensation to bead up on your interior glass and that would be bad while driving
Use one water dampened towel and one dry one for glass, inside and out.
