Well I still haven't gotten around to using my new OCW 2.0 yet because I'm loving this OID. I though I'd post some pics for you guys who are on the fence. This is my daily driver, 2002 Altima.

I love the application of Opti-Bond! Do you think it's possible to use a garden pesticide sprayer to apply the Opti-Bond as well as you did with your Wagner?

I'm also curious to see how long the Opti-Bond lasts!

The Wagner I use is made to apply paint and has 3 controlable patterns. It mists the product in very fine sized particles and coverage is very uniform. From my experience a garden sprayer is only good for applying cleaning chemicals and not finishing products because it isn't focused or fine enough. I have seen a heavy duty sprayer with a brush attachment that TOTL sells for $200 but I like my $69 Wagner much better because I can use it on all tires and wells, whereas the sprayer/brush tool looks as if you couldn't do low profile tires or fenderwells very well.

Great pictures :thumbsupup[1]:

Ron and I were talking last week about your use of the Wagner sprayer and I had thought of using ours also but I can't deal with the loud chatter noise it makes.....yea I know an air compressor can be loud also but I use it for blowing interiors out an such also so I deal with it :)

Opti-Bond can really last a long while, actually I'm pretty impressed by the durability of it on my work truck tires. Great innovation on the use of that Wagner sprayer :beerchug[1]:

Anthony

Anthony,
This unit isn't like the old PP. NO CHATTER at all. Sounds like a blow dryer on LOW! It has a turbine instead of a pump mechanism. Thanks for the compliment on my "ingenuity." I bought a second one off Ebay for like $39 and it's in perfect shape. I could mail it to ya if you want to try it. You probably have more control with the setup you have, but this is perfect for me and would probably be a hit with mobile detailers like Scottwax who work out of their car.

Dang Chris, those pics look awesome! I have a bottle of OID that I will hopefully get a chance to try out. I used the new OCW the other day and it is noticeably slicker.

Chris,
The use of the Wagner spray gun is one of the most out of the box ideas to come along in a while.
It make sense. Now any one can effectively use the Opti-Bond and have steller results.
Ideas like this will help make detailing cars a snap.
Keep up the good work!

Oh if I had an award to present you for froward thinking I would present it to you now. :beerchug[1]: :thumbsupup[1]:

Here ya go Ron! :thumbsupup[1]:

My truck was last polished with OP & PS back in December or January and then protected with OS and then Collinite 845 (24 hours later). Since then, it has only seen ONR or traditional Optimum washes and the occasional OCW v1 application.

Today:
Traditional Optimum Wash
OCW v2 - This new formula is noticeably slicker. I like it a lot.
OID - This stuff is SLICK!!! People aren't lying about how slick it is. And it smells so good I have a hard time not drinking it. hehe

Mike,
It looks like you take very good care of your truck. The paint looks great.
I can see that you have been through some nasty stuff judging by the looks of those frame rails.
I know when the weather stays nice toy will be cleaning those up as well.

The weather up your way looks spring like.
San Antonio will be reaching highs close to 90 by the end of the week according to the news.
