I did both cars today and they streaked real bad and left smudges on the paint. What could have caused this? :dribble[1]:
Thanks Ryan

Ryan,
Most often if you are experiencing streaking, you are using too much product. I recommend using less and see if that clears up your issues. One to two "spritzes" per panel usually is sufficient.

See thats what I was thinking! I also thought it be the paste wax that was already on the cars. Who knows! Thanks for the reply!

No problem. Hopefully you'll have better results the next time you use it. I constantly have to remind myself to back off when using OPT products. I tend to get a bit heavy handed with the gloss enhancer spray as well.

Ya! I shock the bottle real good. I guess there is a learning curve with this stuff.
Thanks Ryan

Strange. It's likely an uncompatibility issue. Fairly unusual, but happens sometimes. What are the underlying layers?

I was reading some post's on the site and come to the conclusion that I was probably using to much!

I sometimes think using a microfiber towel to spread a spray wax or detailing causes some streaking. A mf is too good at absorbing the product before spreading it until the towel is a little primed so what I see initially is certain sections get damp and others not depending on the spray pattern (finer works better).

Shake the product well, and spray the towel instead of the panel. This will give you an even coverage.
