If I am using Optimum Car Wax after every second or third wash, when I decide to reapply my sealant, I assume I need to strip the OCW since sealants generally don't seal to carnaubas, correct?

Depends on the sealant. OCW itself is a polymer-carnauba hybrid too.

If you are using OOS then you can apply this above wax and I assume and hope therefore that this applies to OCW since I've just applied OCW and anticipate applying further coats of OOS periodically.

If not I'll have to stop using one or the other.

I've been trying to find out some of the same things you are asking and got some help on this forum and also found this on another forum:

"OS and CS are the only sealants I know that will definitely work well over carnaubas"

So yes you can apply OOS over OCW or any carnauba.

That post was from a well known detailer named scottwax who actually test for Optimum products. You can find the entire thread here
