I'm REALLY new to all this. I just bought a new Honda and really want to keep the paint looking nice. Because it's getting colder I took it in and had a detailing shop put sealant on it for the winter. I bought some OID and used it after washing and it's SO nice, slick and glossy! I guess I'm just confused as to whether the OID is only good for making the paint look nice, or if it actually provides some additional protection for the paint?? If it does help with protection - would this last 1 week, 2 weeks....? I wash my car ~ once a week. Thanks!
Optimum Instant Detailer confusion

It has protection that lasts a couple weeks, i do mine after every wash. Then Optiseal monthly, but thats probably overkill. Thats just the way i roll, haha

Thanks so much!! It was so quick and easy I'll just use it every time I wash :-)
