I still only have the coating on my hood and it is still doing really well. I clayed the vehicle last month and there was maybe one tenth the contaminants that was on the rest of the vehicle. Another phenomenon I have tried to capture in the video is that even soap will not cling to the surfaces treated with the coating. You can see the difference between the hood's hydrophobic and detergetphobic (horizontal surface) versus the fender's wax only (vertical surface). The soap separates and sheets off similar to water only a little slower.

Applying soap via foam cannon:

Sheeting the foam:

And still beading like day one:

Looks like a valuable asset.

As a detailing hobbyist, I look to change and replace my LSP weekly if I can.

I read at another forum that the posters thought I was crazy for doing this, and that the idea of spending $600-700 on a correction is so they don't have to clean their cars so often.

I'm close to switching up my product line after trying the Optimum products. I have a G35 in my garage right now which half is "jeweled" with Menzerna 85 and the surface does not fell as slick as it did after I clayed the surface. The other half has Poli-Seal applied with a PC. The surface has more slickness than when the surface was clayed.

Using all of these boutique products has made me change what I value in a product.

thanks for the videos - beading at that level after almost a year is impressive.

what is the longest this product has been tested to so far - did I read almost 3 years?
