    Optimum Gloss-Coat

Can you not? I've read mixed things on the forum. Ive read it adds more gloss and then ive read (I think Ron said) and second coat adds no durability or gloss? Do we have a definitive answer?

    Power clean with onr

Thats why I do the Gary Dean method of using 8-10 microfibers so I never put the PC or dirt back into the bucket! One bucket only

    General Questions

Well I got impatient before I really did my research and gloss coated 2 of the 4 wheels because I thought I had enough and ran out.. I probably had enough but the black rims hardly show the coat going on so its hard to see if im getting an even coat. So now I guess 2 of my 4 rims might not "off gas" and fully harden... Im too chicken to polish the gloss coat off unless you have a suggestion for a safe way to do it. Its been about 30 days since I had them painted

    General Questions

Is hyper seal safe on glass and interior similar to optiseal. or should i only use it on the paint? Yea im gonna gloss coat my rims as soon as the 90 days is up.. I guess ill have to wait to try out the new tire protection and coating
  6. I recently had my wheels painted and im supposed to wait 90 days before using any acid wheel cleaners. Is Power clean considered an acid cleaner? Is power clean effective for brake dust? I really want to try out this new tire protection and coating product but per Rons instructions I need to power clean my tires really well and I know some is going to drip onto my rims.. Second question is, is hyper seal/opti seal comparable to carpro reload? Not in terms of performance i mean in terms of intended use and function.

    Power clean with onr

FerreX removes tar according to the description. Luckily for me if you tell your girlfriend how much you love optimum products and show her the neat opti-coat pamphlet that comes with your order she might just buy you some products. Well my girlfriend did just that and I now have all the decontaminate products (FerreX, PC, and MDR) along with the new tire protection, hyper seal, opti seal, ONR and OCNR. That being said do I just follow his method of "washing with Optimum No Rinse(ONR) , then use FerreX, rinse, followed by Optimum Power Clean, Rinse, followed by MDR, rinse, and Optimum No Rinse(ONR) again. "? Thats all I gotta do to achieve the butter smooth feeling of claying the vehicle?!

    Power clean with onr

I didn't have any problems with streaking (i used OCNR not ONR). I sprayed each panel one at a time with PC let it soak for a minute or so and then hit it with ONR and dried with hyperseal. I did not rinse. I still have this gritty feel on the paint that im guessing is what as refered to as "road film". My car is gloss coated I did it about a month and a half ago. To remove this contamination can I use a combo of MDR, FerreX, and PC?? Or do I need to clay bar the vehicle? I saw Yvan post on another form where he said you could decontaminate with traditional (clay bar) or chemically with MDR, FerreX, PC. " As required a decontamination is suggested when you feel the beading is lacking. This can be accomplished by claying, or chemically by washing with Optimum No Rinse(ONR) , then use FerreX, rinse, followed by Optimum Power Clean, Rinse, followed by MDR, rinse, and Optimum No Rinse(ONR) again. " -Yvan Would that combo remove this gritty film feeling that ONR isnt, or do i need to clay to get that smooth feeling back?

Can I prespray my panels with power clean 3:1, then use OCNR and then dry with hyper seal or will the power clean that I’m drying stop hyper seal?

Will Optigloss allow paint to off-gas?

Ok great thanks. I think I was being misinformed. I was being told that optigloss cannot bond with itself and therefore to add another coat a month or a year later you had to completely polish off the other previous optigloss coat... So if in a month or so I want to add another coat (for more gloss) to the coat i did on my car 2 months ago I can just wash and paint prep and then do another coat?
  11. I recently had my rims painted (about 3 weeks ago) and although was told they needed 90 days to fully cure and not to clean with acid cleaners I decided to water wipe off grime and then IPA clean them and apply opti gloss coat because I wanted them to be easier to clean. Now I am worried my paint wont fully harden... Will the optigloss stop my paint from offing gas and fully hardening and is there a way I can remove optigloss coat without the traditional polishing method? Im scared to polish my new rims because ive only polished the car paint before. My second question is how do I know that optigloss is on the vehicle and is working as intended? I know it sounds dumb but I coated my vehicle completely in optigloss after paint prep and decon and then once a week I wash with ONR + opti seal which now i will be switching to OCNR + hyper seal (why did no one tell me they had stuff specifically for coatings!). So the water beads really well and the car looks good after a good wash but how do i know if i applied enough gloss coat and that its not just the opti seal working (I applied opti sael 1 hour after i gloss coated to protect during curing). If I want to redo or add another layer of gloss coat do i have to do the full decon and polish off the old coat before applying a new one? Thanks first time here but I love reading all the informative post and I really love optimums line of products!
