So after using Opti-Clean, it would be recommended to use a protectant; like Opti-Seal? Thank You

That is what I thought, but wanted confirmation. Thank You

Alright. So some of differences between ONR Wash & Wax[ONRWW] and Opti-Clean[OC] are: ONRWW, is more economical, has a bit of wax, UV protection and ? OC is a stronger cleaner, is a waterless wash and ? Fill in the question marks above, since I probably missed something. Which would provide more protection, ONRWW or OC? Thank You

Will try this out at some point then and report back. Have read that Opti-Clean[OC] is normally used before ONR. Can OC be used as replacement for ONR? Using OC should not affect PP, OS or any other Optimum product? Thank You

Yes. Will stick to PP then for it's cleaning properties, since they both would provide the same UV protection. After reading about Opti-Seal[OS] and seeing a few videos about it. Considering using OS on the glass. Can OS be applied over PP? Will this affect PP in any way? Since will most likely get some OS on the vinyl window frames when applying OS. Thank You

So the weather cleared up a bit, this gave me a chance to try out Protectant Plus[PP] on the vinyl window frames and ONR at 1:128 on the window glass. Dusted off the dust on the frames with a fine detailing brush. Liberally sprayed PP on to a microfiber towel. Carefully applying PP on the vinyl window frame, as to not get much on the glass. The little of PP that did get on the glass, cleaned up easily with ONR. PP cleaned up the vinyl window frames well, restored the white color; a very nice bright white color and left a very nice satin finish. Never having a greasy feel to the touch. The vinyl widow frames looked great, like new Sprayed ONR on to a microfiber towel, about 5 shots. Using the box method to clean the glass, then using the dry side of the microfiber towel to remove any remaining ONR, so we leave a streak free glass. ONR did a good job of cleaning the glass. Easy to apply and take off with the microfiber towel; without any streaking. ONR Wash & Shine worked really well, will try ONR Wash & Wax[ONRWW] next. Since ONRWW would add a bit of wax protection. What about using Optimum Car Wax[OCW} instead of PP on the vinyl window frames? Does OCW leave a glossy shine? Considering OCW over PP, since it would protect better than PP? Though really liked the satin finish that PP left on the vinyl window frames. What would be the recommended product when needing something stronger for cleaning? Have read that Opti-Clean and Optimum Power Clean are what most use for tougher cleaning. What is the shelf life of most Optimum products? Have read here that for the ONR's is about 3 to 4 years with the cap on in any weather condition. Like stored in a shed with no ventilation. Is this correct? Thank You

Considered Optimum Glass Clean & Protect, but cannot be used on the interior of windows. That is why had asked: Is ONR safe for use on the inside of windows; tinted or not? Thank You

Alright, just making sure. So my proposed usage of ONR[-W&W] for cleaning the windows, as a general cleaner in the home and using Protectant Plus for protecting the window frames; and any plastics, vinyls is fine? Or are there other Optimum products that would better for these uses? By GPS, you mean Optimum Glaze, Polish & Seal? What is your experience using GPS on faucets? Is ONR safe for use on the inside of windows; tinted or not? Thank You, for answering all these questions. Prefer to know as much as possible, before using any product.

What we talked about in this thread about ONR's usage, would also apply to ONR Wash & Wax as well? If so, better to use ONR Wash & Wax instead then? Also, is it safe to assume that using any of the rest of the Optimum products in this matter, will be safe as well? Since all Optimum products are formulated for safe usage by the user, on all surfaces and environmentally friendly? Thank You

Yes, will experiment. Just wanted to get an idea on where to start. Will give 1:128 a try first. As this seems like a good middle ground to start from and adjust from there. Thank You

Alright, hehe :) For window cleaning 1:256, is what have read that most use. Have also read from others experiences that 1:128 is the highest ratio to use for window cleaning. Without any streaking. Has this being your experience as well? Thank You

Alright and 1:128 for medium to heavy dirt and dust? Thank You

Great, that is what I thought but did not want to assume. Just wanted to make sure before using ONR and Protectant Plus on the vinyl window frames. For this usage what would be the recommended ONR dilution: Standard wash solution: ratio 1:256 or 1 oz/2 gallons? Or a bit stronger: ratio 1:128 or 1 oz/1 gallon? Looking forward to using Optimum products in the household and for car care This forum is a great resource, have learned quite a bit in the last few days. Thank You for the quick replies and have a good day.
  15. Hello, Recently found the Optimum line of products. Like that they are safe for us to handle and for the environment. Have read quite a bit about the products. But have some specific questions, that did not come up while searching the forums. When it is mentioned that the products are safe on all surfaces, paint, metal, glass, plastic, vinyl, rubber, etc. This applies to the different types of said surfaces? For example, the vinyl used in home construction; the vinyl frames on windows, doors, etc? Would like to use ONR to clean the vinyl frames on windows and of course the glass. Know that there is no problem with cleaning the glass. Would also like to use Optimum Protectant Plus on said vinyl window frames to protect the vinyl from the elements; UV, dust, dirt, etc. Currently using Zep Vinyl Window Cleaner[0], but would prefer a user and environmentally friendly/safe product. Is the proposed usage above alright? Thank You [0] https://www.zepcommercial.com/product/zepcommercial/Vinyl-Window-Cleaner
