Does ONR affect Collinite 845?

Hi Dr. G. I've read on several occasions that some people have noticed a 'less slick' surface after washing with ONR (and having previously used Collinite 845). It appears as if the ONR may be removing some of the 845. Is this possible?

Thanks!

ONR should not have any detrimental affect on 845. It is pH neutral and leaves behind polymer protection that should actually improve gloss. Because it adds protection of it's own, it may change the way water beads or sheets a bit, but that has nothing to do with protection removal.

Yeah, the original protection will take over again with all the properties it originally had as the ONR protection (its only light) fades.

Thank you for posting this question on the forum. As Chris pointed out No Rinse does not contain any detergents or other chemicals that can remove waxes or sealants and it only leaves a temporary polymer film that can slightly affect the water beading properties for a short time. If Collonite 845 contains silicone oils then as they are removed with microfiber towels during washing and drying the slickness will be reduced but this will be more of an issue with conventional washes. Let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thanks again.
