worldcrafter Posted September 10, 2007 Share Posted September 10, 2007 I am using a cheap Harbor Freight rotary polisher, which I might add is still on sale on their website: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=92623 $29.99 for a rotary with a huge range of speeds. I used this polisher for sanding down paint to bare metal with 40 grit discs when repainting my car, and for compounding, and polishing paint. It has pretty bad speed control engineering which you need to get used to (when the motor bogs from too much pressure, it will speed up to compensate, sometimes a little too much), but for the most part it is absolutely worth what you pay for it.
