Richard Grasa
Is it advisable to Opti-Coat window trim which has been wrapped in matte black vinyl? Also, if you were to coat wheels that have been painted matte gray, would it add gloss? (Gloss is not wanted in either of these cases, which is why I'm asking). Rcrew
These areas will become glassy if you coat them
Stampe
I can just talk for my self and the test I did. And I will coat mattfinishes.. The colour in my eyes gets a bit darker and deeper look... Not glossy in my eyes.
Richard Grasa
Thanks for the pics. I'll see if the customer wants to do a test spot since it may change the look a bit.
Stampe
You are welcome :-) Otherwise opti-seal can be a option, but it darkens the colour abit aswell and makes it look deeper. A customer uses it on he's matte black mc but he likes it a lot.
Paul S
Will the results vary between coating a matte vinyl wrap compared to a painted matte surface ?
