68carboy
I just polished out the lenses on one of my vehicles. Next I am going to go through the process to prep and apply OC 2.0. Does anybody know if OC 2.0 will give me all the protection I need on my headlight lenses or will I have to go to the Opti-lens coating
Evan.J
Did you sand the head lights at all? If not then IC will be fine. If you did sand them then go with OL as it has the UV coating you need to keep the lens from fading and yellowing.
Setec Astronomy
As Evan noted, if you haven't removed the factory coating from the lenses, OC 2.0 will probably be fine. IME if you have removed the coating OC 2.0 will last less than a year before the lenses start to yellow if outside 24/7. I just did some headlights and license plate covers with Opti-Lens we'll see how long that lasts.
Billy Jack
Over two years ago, I did a review on OC for my headlights:http://optimumforums.org/index.php?showtopic=1618&hl= I'm now starting to see a very slight bit of cloudiness, but not enough to be of any concern, considering it's been nearly 2 1/2 years on a DD that stays outside 24/7. I haven't acquired any Opti-lens yet, but if you have some OC in stock, I wouldn't hesitate to use it. Bill
