ONR And Stubborn Water Spots

Recommended Posts

Just an FYI, an ONR wash with the hottest water you can stand is very effective on stubborn water spots.

One would think it would make absolutely no difference...

Could DrG give us some information about this?

For me it definitely did. The water spots I had wouldn't come off with a standard ONR wash or with vinegar. The hot water ONR wash did the trick for me.

I normally just use warm water but it is an interesting idea.  Many people do not use hot water as it can lead to water stops and dried shampoo, which should not be a problem for ONR so it would be interesting to hear if other people try it.

I was curious , was listening to the podcast and that ONR was mentioned being allowed to dry on the car, just reactivate it with more onr spray. If i use tap water mixed with onr at 256:1, and the car gets hit with sunlight and dried those areas, will there be no water spot damage?

There might be some spots from hard water...but not as much if you used just hard water without ONR. ONR acts as a water softener.

To avoid any future problems just work section by section and dry as you the section after wash.
