Storing used wet MF towels after ONR

Recommended Posts

I like to wash my towels once a month (I only wash my car twice a month) and after doing an ONR wash my towels are wet and dirty. How can I store them for a month without getting a nasty mildew smell? Can I store them in a sealed bucket of APC for a month or will that degrade the towel and just allow mold to grow?

I would say one month is not possible in any climate. I often spray APC-mix on them and rinse them and let them airdry before washing. Using The Rag Comapny Minx. Stored in APC the solution starts to smell in about a week or so?

Ugh.. Living in an apartment I don't have a place to let them air dry, unless I do it in my garage which they prob wouldn't dry. No sunlight and perfect for growing mildew.. Trying to find another solution if possible!

Hmm, that's interesting

I've been leaving my MF towels to soak in the ONR solution x 1 week and then I remove them before my next wash (I wash weekly) and let them air out in the garage x1 week before using them again

They are dry and I don't think I've had any usage issues but I'll have to pay attention to the smell the next time I do this

where the hell do you dry your clothes then?

Maybe consider swithing  to another wash media (say The big red sponge).
