JayZee
Hello, everyone! Someone wiped a couple of paint-based marks off a dark brown door panel on a newer Volvo SUV with a solvent, and we haven't figured out how to make it look normal again, if at all possible. When we used something like those orange goo gone sprays, the oil (put whatever it is) in the product makes it look almost gone, but when it dries, the white smudge is still there. Any tips? I've spent some time researching to no avail. Ideally we wouldn't have to try and dye the plastic trim (it's the lower portion of the door panel). Thank you in advance for any help! Ron@Optimum
I don't know of any OPT product that can restore trim damaged by solvents. I've use Opti-Seal on faded interior plastic/vinyl with some success and CarPro Perl as well, but improvement was partial and damage was UV not chemical. JayZee
Oh well, ok... Thank you. I wish you guys had your Opti Trim Restore with a brown-ish dye, like the old days with black dye.
Ron@Optimum
I didn't suggest Opti-Trim because it's a Pro product and I wasn't sure you were authorized...and you're correct it has black pigment
