No rinse vs "rinse less"

Recommended Posts

As I learn more about this space, there seems to be a push towards advocating for a hose or pressure washer to rinse off even moderately dirty cars beyond the common sense instructions of removing caked on mud dirt etc.

Seems to me that ONR does not push this idea of "rinse less" beyond common sense i.e. OK to pre-spray and then contact wash with ONR.

Am I correct in that assumption or should I spraying down even moderately dirty cars?

not sure where you're getting information, but Optimum only suggests spraying on very dirty cars.  I've personally NEVER had a car too dirty for ONR. At worst I might need to go over a second time.  Pre-spraying followed by ONR has cleaned the worst dirt.  I don't live in a snow state and winter sludge might require some kind of power spraying, but that or off roading are the only examples I know to change my methodology.

thanks i'm referring to other product such a diy details suggesting a hose or pressure washer rinse off after the rinseless wash is pre sprayed on what appear to be moderately dirty at worse vehicles . i think not using a hose except for filthy vehicles is an advantage of onr.
